Natural Gas Separators - Process Gas Separators
Steam Separators - 2 Phase Separators

Separator-Type 100H with insulation jacketWinston/Royal Guard’s Type 100H Horizontal Vane Natural Gas Separators are 2 phase separators which efficiently remove liquid slugs, mist and other entrained liquids from natural gas, process gas, or steam, for the protection of compressors and other equipment in gas transmission pipelines, gas gathering systems, and plant applications.  The vane separators are an excellent choice when designed as process gas separators or steam separators.

How the vane separator works:  As gas enters the 2 phase separator, liquid slugs fall to the bottom of the vessel while the gas flows toward the vane separator internal. As the gas passes through the tortuous path of the corrugated vane plates, mist and entrained liquid particles are initially separated from the gas due to changes in flow direction. Inertial impaction causes the liquid to separate as it cannot change direction with the gas. Impinging upon the vane surfaces, liquid particles coalesce as they travel along these surfaces toward the vane’s pockets. The separated liquid is directed to the bottom of the vessel and into a boot or sump for removal. Clean, dry gas exits through the vane separator outlet.
