Centrifugal Separators for Gas, Steam, or Air Applications
The Winston/Royal Guard Type 120 Centrifugal Separator with the Directional Blade™ internal is an efficient way to remove condensate, oil, water, pipe scale, rust, and dust as a steam separator, a gas separator, or an air separator to protect gas and air compressors, steam turbines, and other equipment.
The design of our internal element allows for a more compact vessel, making the centrifugal separator an excellent choice for applications where space is limited. Refineries, Petrochemical plants, and gas plants benefit from the centrifugal separator’s compact design.
How the centrifugal separator works:
Vapor in the form of gas, steam, or air enters the separator and passes through the Directional Blade™ internal which imparts a spin to the flow, forcing any liquids or solids to the vessel wall through the process of centrifugal force. Liquids, along with any solids, spin along the vessel wall and move toward the drain. The liquid particles become enlarged through the process of coalescing as they move along the vessel wall, assisting in the separation process. The separated liquid is drained from the vessel and clean, dry vapor exits the separator outlet. Velocity control is incorporated into the design of the Directional Blade™ internal for effective separation.
- Removes 99.9% of 8-10 micron and larger size liquid and solid particles.
- For geothermal steam separator applications, small stones will be separated along with liquids.
- Excellent for separation of paraffin. Hand holes will be added for steam cleaning with this application.
- ASME code stamped and National Board Registered.
