Strainers are vital to protect downstream equipment such as pumps, compressors, and turbine meters in industries such as refining, petrochemical, chemical, natural gas pipeline, power, pulp & paper, and others. Several styles are available to meet specific needs for removing solids from liquids, gas, or steam and manufactured in our ASME code certified facility. The Winston/Royal Guard Types 55, 56 and 58 heavy duty fabricated simplex strainers, many times referred to as pipeline strainers, are industrial strainers used for the protection of pumps, compressors, valves, and down-stream mechanical equipment by removing sand, dirt, pipe scale, grit, welding beads and other solids from liquids, gasses, and steam. The large internal basket offers the lowest pressure drop while providing the largest holding capacity. the Type 58 horizontal simplex strainer is designed for applications requiring a very large strainer basket.
Winston/Royal Guard Types 59, 60, and GP59 T strainers, also referred to as TEE strainers, are industrial strainers and available in several styles to meet customer installation needs and can be designed to replace an elbow in a piping run in a 90 degree configuration.
The Winston/Royal Guard Type 57 Y strainers, also referred to as WYE strainers, are usually smaller and lighter in weight than other types of inline fabricated strainers. These industrial strainers are available in all pressure ranges.
Startup strainers - temporary strainers: Type 50-P cone and Type 51-P basket strainers are furnished extensively for use in startup or temporary installations. However, many times after initial cleaning they are left in the line for permanent protection of equipment.
The Type DU56 heavy duty fabricated duplex strainers are the solution to continuous operation when downtime is not an option. These industrial strainers are furnished for refining, petrochemical, chemical, and other process industries.
